Alright, JP2 was a great guy, and he meant well to the world, but seriously, how much of this massive world mourning can you accredit to mass hysteria fueled by the media.
Not to disrespect the guy, but if it wasn't for all the specials on him lately, how much would you actually know about the guy....or care. Not singling out anybody in particular, just an observation.
I mean, it parallels princess diana's death in the sense that when she died, everyone was upset, heart broken even, such a shame that the "princess" died. But I think these emotions were drawn out by the media. Culture is no longer created from the bottom up but fed to us from the top down.

doubtful. If he did he probable wouldn't stand a chance in the conclave. He is a candidate as any onther cardinal or even any other adult christian. |
