Dave Seaman - relatively underrated/unknown dj, or just unloved here?

While thinking about my post in the "famous" prog djs thread, I started wondering why Dave Seaman seems to be a rather underrated/unknown dj, at least on these boards. I'm trying to figure out if that's because he's not that well-known in general, or if this board doesn't enjoy the type of music he spins. I've always considered him to be one of the best djs in the world, yet his work (both mixes and production under all aliases, mainly Brothers In Rhythm) seems to go unnoticed.
Thoughts? |

His GU's are really good.
His new renaissance w/Chable sucked though. I could not get into it.
I do not think he is unknown, but he is not the biggest dj here on ta. |

Thanks sandstorm. Yeah, I love his GU discs, though I actually like his Renaissance 4 and Desire discs a bit more, and especially the mix he did for the Renaissance: Singapore set. I haven't heard his recent Audio Therapy comps, the most recent mix I have is his GU Melbourne, which is incredible. |

I saw him in NYC a few years back, one of the best sets I've heard. Definitely check him out live if you get the chance. I'm sure he's playing lots of his Audio Therapy stuff now. |

| Dave seemed to have a much higher profile here the US a few years ago. Haven't heard much about him recently, apart from this new CD. |

| I am going to Atlanta and Seaman and Chable are coincidentally playing down there. My first time seeing either of them will be Saturday night. |

They're playing together @ Cielo in NYC on Sunday. I'd go, but Sunday is a tough night to be out till 4am. |
