Using low power radio waves sent out from a revolving arm you are checked out with microscopic precision. And you don't have to take your clothes off.
"It doesn't recognize clothing. It goes right through that and sees the water in your skin and bounces back and gives us a return signal from the water in your skin," said Ed Gribbin.
Intellifit and Levi's are working together on this experimental project because sometimes buying jeans can be so confusing. They have over 40 styles and hundreds of sizes.
"Jeans, like all things, change over time so there are other styles that might be better for you from your personal style. And what this does is help give you new information," said Amy Gemellaro, Levi's brand spokesperson
Intellifit, which will be at Levi's on Michigan through Sunday, is free. The jeans are not. |

It's about friggin time they brought this up here! I read an article back in '99 about this being used in California by Levis, and back in '03 I tried it out for myself, but didn't get the jeans made.

Pants are always too long for me too. I just let them drag of the floor most of the time. Only nice pants I bother to get shortened. |
