nice...not sure what im doing that sunday night
Deko-ze is at another party but in manny lehman is headlining that...and he sucks....

might give rauhofer another go...
he's been disappointing lately.
DJ_Science
Sweet, this is on my birthday.

meh...the little bit I've heard from Rauhofer didn't really impress me, but that was quite some time ago...although he still owns one of the greatest cross-over remixes I've ever heard, Safe from Harm...*massive* track in both gay and straight clubs.

I think it's going to be all about the Sunday night RISE party at Fluid...Deko-ze, Hex Hector and Manny Lehman (I may leave when Manny comes on and check out something else, if there's anything else going on, but Deko-ze and Hex should be good.
Skipper
Mark, is RISE a pride promoter that is competing with Prism? I heard of other pride parties going on by a new promoter...

I've always liked Manny Lehman. He can get really techy and dark. Love that.
MarkT
Rise is being promoted by Jason Ford (who used to be behind the Unity parties) and Gairy Brown (the not-so-hot Eden parties)...and they seem to be directly competing against the PRISM events this year.

It's so convoluted, I can't keep everything straight (ha) though.

The old Unity parties (the big saturday parties) were never "Pride" events, AFAIK...in the sense that profits did NOT go back into Pride as the proceeds from other parties would...they went into the promoters' pockets (fine, I suppose).

Apparently the PRISM parties do directly benefit Pride (assuming a profit...unlike last year).

I just saw an ad in Fab today...apparently Hex Hector is no longer on the bill with Manny and Deko-ze and has been replaced by Chris Cox??? Too bad...although I've never heard Manny spin (shameful, I know), so I may still pick the Sunday Rise party over the saturday PRISM party with Boy George and Tony Moran...I dunno yet.

I see your name on the PRISM list Sarah...along with Chiclet again too...where are you spinning this year???
samhouse
ahhh choices choices...
so deko-ze is no longer spinning at the manny lehman party???
MarkT
he was still on the bill as of last week...did I miss something between now and then...if he's off, that seals the deal and I'm not going.

*sigh* I wonder what will be in Guv on the saturday night?

oh...someone said that DJ Dan is booked for one of the street stages that weekend :)

i believe hex hector is no longer there...
deko-ze is still on the bill :)

i saw the flyer on sunday so it must be true...

MarkT
Two people have now said that Hex didn't cancel...he was apparently taken off the lineup...supposedly the promoters received complaints about him being on the bill.

but...all of that is not "official"...I'm just repeating what I've been told ;)
Tully
woah...
disappointing..i woulda liked to see him.
I hear deko-ze is spinning 6-10 at this party...and then theres an afterparty at zone
