Projekt X aka Loveparade
Ralf Regnitz / Dr. Motte announced there will be a big event called “Projekt X” on july the 9th at the Siegessaeule in Berlin Tiergarten - same place Loveparade used to take place. They will be having the big trucks again but this time they won’t move but will be positioned at the entrances to the Grosser Stern with the Siegessaeule in the middle.
Same day at 12am the Berlin Club Comission will have several big boats which can load up to 500 passengers each - coming from Berlin district of Treptow to Kreuzberg. Just like the love trucks those boats will be equipped with massive sound systems to chear up the passengers and the people partying on the river banks.
If everything works out as planned both events will merge at Siegessaeule later that day for a big party.
Good news for Berlin and it’s party scene!

Techno became mainstream and so did Loveparade. The people who started it withdrew from the parade and went back to the underground/clubs. The Loveparade became a show, a commercial show-off for the city of Berlin.
Last year we had this Fight the Power parade. At the original place with the original number of (nutty) people. Everyone was there for the music, the admosphere, the spirit of the 'old' Loveparade. I believe it was the most incredible partyfeeling I had in years. Who needs one million people? We had amazing fun :toocool:
FTP is a demonstration, so free and non-commercial. Dr.Motte would love to do a second version, and it's easy to arrange. It's summer, the clubs are all open, the city lies at our feets. Berlin is still reasonably cheap compaired to other major European capitols. So... let the fun start :happy2: |

I concur with everyone about love weekend. LFA was sweet, FTP was the best festival ever!
Anyways I "plan" on going to LFA again this year. (Hopefully not sleeping on the floor both nights) I just graduated from college (thank god) so i can finally leave america for London. Im tryin to get a job so i can move there, so well see how that works out.
Oh and thanks for the movie, You can actually see me in the video!!!! After it shows the screen, it goes to a shot of nu nrg and and it pans to the crowd directly in front of them. When it starts to move closer you can see me behind a dude in the grey shirt and next to the chick in the white tank top. I have my hand up and am wearing a sleavless white shirt, two deep from the railing. Too cool. |
