so i was out around downtown dallas last night gettin a couple records and the gf and i go by the West End which is like a hangout area in the city with restaurants and outdoor stuffs...
anyways, we're walking along and i notice theres country music blastin (as usual) but what baffles me is that its not just some tunes on a local radio station or anything...
there was actually a guy spinning country tunes on a pair of cd decks:haha: bobin his head and single sided monitoring like any other dj! then what reall blew me away... he mixed in this salsa track and ppl got up from their tables and started dancing!
anything like that happen anywhere else or is this just a crazy texas thing:stongue: |

| i wnet to a house party 6 months ago where a guy was "djing" classic rock.... and by djing i mean he had two old ty belt drive decks and a radiocrap mixer that had an abused crossfader.... no beat matching, no real mixing to speak of.... i laughed a lot theni got really stupidy drunk and started poking fun at him..... |

| there was like a huge country music festival yesterday from what my boss told me she was going to attend. It was gonna be all about the 2-steppin,turkey-in-the-staw festival. Back to the subject, West End tends to be like that most of time.:wtf: |
