So i d***loaded (sshhh ... dont tell anyone) Northern Exposure: Expeditions ... and then i thought ... this is so f***ing good that i'm going to go buy it (ahhh ... i've redeemed myself).
Strange thing is that the copy bought from Amazon doesn't have Delerium - Silence on it. So apparently i bought this one:
http://www.discogs.com/release/21353
But this one, which i d***loaded, had Delerium - Silence (Sanctuary Mix) on it:
http://www.discogs.com/release/21353
And that track is the only difference between the two.
Now it seems pretty strange that they would mix the same cd twice differing by one track, so i'm wondering if anyone knows some interesting reason why the one release contains the track and the other one didn't. Probably some stupid licensing , but seems strange that they would go through the trouble to mix it twice. |

| because of licensing problems the us version (which is a 1disc version and can be bought pretty easily) doesn't include the fade sanctuary remix of delerium's silence |

Actually the US version of Expeditions is 2 discs, but without Silence. Perhaps you are thinking of the first Northern Exposure compilation, which is hard to find as the 2 disc version here in the States. |

| So they mixed it twice then? I wonder if there are any other noticeable difference, though probably not if they mixed it on a computer. |

i love the stupidity in this review
| quote: | | ...The first cd on the other hand is the type of trance cr*p that the likes of Tiesto seem to be throwing out at a rate of 10 cd's a day; useless, boring & lacking in originality. Really start to wander who mixed what & more, who chose what tracks..... |

| Alot of people seem to either like only cd1 or cd2. I think they are both pretty nice. |

They're all good, but over time, Expeditions has become my favorite.
My only guess as to why they left out Silence is that the mix from Belfunk --> I Know You Love Me Too is insanely good. |
