Anyone else follow this.

First race of 05 was today in spain and my word what a finish to it. The rossi/gibernau rivalry will be interesting to watch throughout this season..

Thought Rossi's move at the final hairpin was a bit harsh on Gibernau. Reminded me a bit of Villeneuve and Schumacher there in '97... Bit of a bitter ending to an otherwise great battle.

Should set a great feud for the season though. :D
TOR
unfortunately they don't broadcast this series in Belgium :(

Really want to get into the sport, but they never broadcasted it live in America only shortend versions which I found borin. Still havent gotten into it still always miss it when in England. All I know is Rossi is the Schumacher of the sport.

I think it was a great end to a great race. I don't think there's nothing wrong with Rossi's overtaking, he saw some space to pass and went for it. But maybe I'm a little biased (and when I say "a little biased" I mean "biased as hell" :toothless ) because I am a big Valentino's fan, and I never liked Gibernau since he debuted (but he makes the races interesting, so props to him).

I'm looking forward for the rest of the season, it's going to be exciting with Rossi and Gibernau fighting for the first place, but don't forget about Melandri, Hayden or Barros.

Anyone saw the other races? I'm happy with Pedrosa winning in 250, but I find it a little boring, he's able to win whenever and however he wants to. And I didn't see the 125 race, but all the people in that category is crazy :eyespop:

:D I see your point there!

I don't really follow any rider to be honest, just watch it for the close scraps. It just seemed like Rossi knew he had no chance of getting back passed Gibernau on that bend because he was always slower out. When I saw him take the inside line it was only ever going to end one way. Good entertainment never the less.

Think I heard the commentator say the next race is Estoril, Portugal, is that right?

Yes, the next race is in Estoril, on the next weekend.

And if you like close scraps and crazy overtakings, you must see the 125 races, those riders are really mad, which makes the races really interesting to see, at least most of them.

Here in Spain, they have changed the TV commentators for this season, and the new ones really sucked ass. They keep on mistaking Valentino Rossi with Max Biaggi, and saying things like "The first place is between Valentino and Rossi"... FFS, any of the 120.000 people seeing the race in Jerez could do it better :whip: :whip:

They used to broadcast the Moto GPs on the local TV channels few years ago but no more longer doing so already :(
Still rem watching Rossi in his early 500c days, damn exciting rider to see!
