so i broke up with my first love about a month and a half ago.... we were together for over a year.... she basicly dumped me one day out of the blue without a reason at all... just that she didnt feel anything for me anymore
anyways since then i have had many ups and downs.... days i feel fine, and days i feel like i want to die..... sometimes i can go through those extremes more then a couple times a day.... its gotten to the point now that it's been awhile already and im still constantly thinking about her because everything still reminds me about her.
for instance the past 2 days were SOLID for me,.... pure enjoyment everything from seeing cosmic gate at a party, drinking with friends on a sunny day to playing soccer with over 20 buddies.... yet i wake up a day later and want to take the knife to myself again ( not literlly im too strong of a person to do that but it is actually the lowest ive ever felt by far) last week about an hour into my soccer game this 'feeling' hit me again and i could not do anything let alone finish the game.
my question , is it normal to experiance depression in this manner after a break up or has this actually done some serious damage to me that isnt going to heal with time? |

things like that take time, trust me
two days from now will mark one year since me and this girl broke up, and i only really felt completely over her a month or so ago
then again...after she dumped me in april we hooked up al lthroughout the summer and left on really weird terms, but still
best of luck, mate! |

I often (3-5 times per week) have days like this, none of which are a result of a recent breakup.
It's hard to get through without druqks, but if you can rationalize, try to remind yourself that feelings are nothing more than release of chemicals in your brain. This should help you repress and function normally. |

i still get the feeling dude. i got dumped for no reason like 6 months ago. its been that long now that those sorta days come few and far between but they do still come.
i hadnt thought abt her AT ALL for like a month then all of a sudden i have a dream abt her and BAM - cant get her outta my head for nearly a week.
the best thing to do is keep ur distance from her. dont fone her or agree to meet up with her as friends. you'll be stronger for it eventually.
in the meantime - find an easy little wh0re and hit that taco |

Almost the exact same thing happened to me last December, so I can really relate.
First proper love, together for over a year, and she fell out of love with me.
It hurts really bad, but keeping busy and having good times with my friends really helped. It took a few months, but you'll soon realise that she really isn't the be all and end all, that life goes on and you'll appreciate the time that you had with her for what it was.

cuz you're in that healing stage.......been there, done that.

you need to just get out there, get your mind off the lady, and just kick it with the boyz for a while
cliche- indeed....but time doth heal.
