the dress doesn't fit you correctly. Its to tight in the waist area.
I suggest you get a dress that all black instread of the red/black combo. Why? Because black makes you look thinnner. the red on this dress ,especially given that its on the sides of the dress, make you look really wide. |

i am kinda wide. the waist looks too small b/c the fabric is sinched there...so it looks like it's pinching but it's not. i have no problem admitting i'm thick. i still think i look okay...i mean decent at least. |

u just need to hit the track. ur not a naturally wide person. i can see it in ur face. and u have a very very pretty face.

you look cute but you should pick a style and color that make you look better not worse.
if u knew ur thick y did you pick a dress that has cow patterns on it? those patterns don't look good on someone who has a wide body.
Same concept for guys. If you're a big guy stripped dress shirts look bad. Etc. |

If she already bought the dress, whats the point of making her feel bad? Its hard to tell without seeing it in person, but I kinda agree that it might not be the best dress to de-emphasis her width. |

i thought she could return it, maybe get a new one. Hopefully she kept the tags ;) |

maybe what she should have done is take pics of the dresses she likes and pics of her body and we could all than give reccomendations.
she kinda put us in a bad position. |

Whether she appreciates it or not you did her a favor by being honest. Most of us were just trying to be supportive. Just remember if it was your gf I wouldn't recommend being 'honest' if you know whats good for you. |

well people like it when your honest to them; well atleast the people i know. plus, even if she was my g/f i'd tell her the same thing. you can't have a realtionships ( i.e. friendships) without honesty and trust.
there is a difference between being a pratt and being sincere. I hope I came off as sincere w/ good intentions. BUT more importantly honest. ;)
She has a very cute face. She has really nice .
just that this particualr dress doesn't make her natural curvy body look as beautiful as it should.
If she can return the dress I would highly recommend she does.
also of consideration is how is she going to wear her hair and do her makeup. bad descisions on her makeup and hair can make her look like a clown. |
