You can disagree all you want, all three are world class players.
Gary Neville is one of the best crossers in the game. Hell, if the man had some pace he'd be a winger. He's also quite a good defender. There are others who could play that role, but from what i've seen he'd be perfect for a team that pushes forward with wingbacks providing the deep ball in.
Rio's one of the best defenders in the world. You can argue all you want, but he's been a rock in an otherwise lackluster United side this season.
Gerrard - i'm not even going to defend his inclusion. Injuries have had a stop-start effect on his season, but when he's fit -- he's easily one of the best defensive midfielders in the world. This season, he's been better then Viera. Not to mention his leadership qualities and ability to get the important goals. ;) |
