U.S. Release of ASOT 2005....wtf?!

I can't believe I didn't notice this before I bought it...the ing U.S. release of ASOT 2005 only goes to track 13 on each disc! WTF?! I would have liked those last 2 tracks on disc 1, and the last 4 that are missing from disc 2! What is the logic in giving us a shorter length CD under the same title?

Thank god I didn't go out and buy it at any local stores yet. Thanks for the heads up, I'll have to order it online.

I don't understand why they did this either. It's retarted. A similar thing happened with Blank & Jones - The Mix 2 ... there was no Disc 2! Man I was pissssed.

And I was JUST about to buy it on dancegrooves to have it a month in advance...figured, 'nah, I'll wait a few more weeks and save some money.' Last time I make that mistake. Missing 6 tracks! And a couple of those tracks, I already know I like, and was interested in hearing the others... you, Ultra Records or whoever made this decision!

licences, now there is no need to make another thread...

I'm pretty sure I got more then 13 tracks on my disc...

Yeah, but is it unreasonable to think that the same tracks would be on both the US and international release considering Armin's last few albums on Ultra (Universal Religion 2004, ASOT 2004, and 76) have all had the same tracklists as the international releases?
tubularbills
yup. 13 tracks. and they fade out at the end. so there really is no ending to either CD.

CD1 is 64 minutes long
CD2 is only 53 minutes long.

so disappointing.

I noticed the track listing before i bought it, but thought nothing really of it, i figured it would still be a normal CD, with normal track lengths [like ASOT 2004]. but for whatever reason both CDs fade out at the end of track 13.

Asummptions are the mother of all ups and while I can see why it would make sence to assume that it's always good to double check because a lot of times north americans get gyped.

Yep. It's pretty lame, but that's what I get for putting it on pre-order through amazon before checking the track list. Hell, I'd be willing to trade the last couple tracks on disk 2 for all of disk 1 since it's pretty lame.

its because you are americans :tongue2
