sorry if this is a repost ive tryed searching, but to no luck as the minimum seach term is 4 characters.

anyway.....

ive got eht efx500 but my mixer has no send nd return, so alternatively i have it lined up in sequence between mixer and amp.

ive tryed wiring it up to a pcv275 and a denon dnx1500. both times when i turned the channel on to send and return there was a constant hissing sound. is there a problem with my pcv or the wires or am i doing something wrong???

the send/receive isnt too great on the pcv275.. has given me problems before. if i use an external fx unit i just plug it in between the mixer & amp.

razzi.

I wanted to run my EFX through send and return but could'nt find the correct cables. I was expecting them in the box but didnt get f all.:whip:

6.5mm jack to jack or 6.3mm cables (dont remember which) are required but I think they have to be mono jacks not stereo. (just woke up so not 100% sure if i've got this the right way round)

Check that the cables you are using are mono and not stereo as when I read about it this was a common problem people where buying the wrong cables.

If anyone can help and knows where to get these cables at a good price let me know.

I had the efx 500 and Vestax 275 and had the same problem... You can get it to work if you mess around w/ the knobs on the mixer volumes for send/return but I can't remember what I had them set @ to get rid of the hissing sound. Play around with it and you'll eventually get it to sound good.

i managed to sort it, had the volumes on the mixer send and return right up. and the master volume right down. only problem with this was that when i turned a channel off send and return the volume dropped a lot!
