No more Avalon, Boston?

| I heard a rumor online (well I guess I should say 'read' a rumor online) that the Avalon, Boston may be shutting down sometime before the end of this year. Is this true/has anyone else heard this rumor/if so, why? (I mean besides the simple explanation, because the world's coming to an end...) |

| well i haven't heard anything, but i can't remember how many times i've heard rumours that The Guvernment here in Toronto was closing down. I dunno what the situation is like in Boston, but it seems unlikely that a successful club would just plan to shutdown in the coming months. |

i highly doubt it. the man who owns Avalon owns the entire Lansdown street basically. Have you guys ever met him? Oh my lord, 6'9" 300lbs just this italian mafioso stud. Always has a few girls on his side, just out of a movie man.
another point is how many avalon's have now opened up across the states. avalon in nyc, l.a. and i've heard some possible rumors in other major cities. but i'm not going to be the one to spread those. |

| There is no way that avalon is closing down...Lyons group makes way too much money there and they are the only game in town that books reall international dj talent |

| Could be closing for renovations or its opening up under a new name and look, clubs do this every few years to remain hip. Of course could be just an intraweb hoax, god forbid. :stongue: |

I talked to some people last night.whoever came up with this rumor was really bored.avalon's not closing for renovations or for nething... |
