Right.....did they do all of this for Tiesto??? If not, why would they for PVD? Of course your going to disagree being that you promote that place. Im sorry but not to many clubs around are big enough for headliners anymore. PVD @ Fur was a mess.....I would assume it would be the same @ Nation......only time will tell. |
Actually - haven't been a promoter for them for a hot minute ;) |

Ok I stand corrected but I still don't think Nation can handle PVD......It's going to be a sardine can. |

| Nation's website stated that it has a capacity of 2300 - wonder if they'll hold sales to that number...?? I've never been there tho - can Nation hold 2300 people comfortably? |

Sorry but no way
What they also need to do is set a number of how many people can enter. 1900 would be a good number and what really screwed things up is that they did setup the foam room and a large number of hotties where dressed up for the occasion.
But nooooooooooo nevertheless no rain but why should it matter with foam. Whoever runs that place is f'n foolish person.
Like it was said only time will tell if this will be any good |

nation is way bigger than fur though...i think it will be great! nation held tiesto back in 2002 and the night was sick. sure, up by the dj booth was packed, but i had plenty of room to dance all night.
i don't know if i'm gonna make this one since it's like right before summerstage....but it sounds like it will be fun. |

They've handled PvD with little problems since 1999. Remember that Nation's dancefloor isn't the size of a postage stamp. I'm sure you're still going to have to fight your way to the front, though - that's pretty much a given.
If they open up the outside deck the capacity rises to around 3000 people. The main room has the fire marshall's maximum capacity plaque hung right above the bar - it states that it can hold a maximum of 2000 people in that area alone, but I don't know if that includes the stage.
Also keep in mind that they are uber-strict when it comes to the fire code. They don't pack people in like Glow does, nor will they sell more tickets than are available. Buzzlife and Nation almost always get it right the first time. It's funny, but I remember D:Fuse telling my former roommate and I that Buzz was his favorite venue on the East Coast - and he told us this while he was in the middle of his set at Glow. ;)
I already know that it's going to be a killer night! |

| It's not a crowded venue that creates the problem - it's the people in that crowd that can make the experience miserable. A little politeness goes a long way... |

You should be happy at Nation, then. Despite it's size, it doesn't draw nearly as many a-holes as Glow does. If someone bumps into you in the crowd, they often apologize. Heck, I've accidentally stepped on people's feet pretty hard (while dancing), apologized, and then HAD THEM TELL ME that they are the ones that should be sorry for getting in the way. If something like that had ever happened at Glow, I think that hell would probably freeze over.
Buzz/Cubik/Nation draws a crowd that's unpretentious, and most people are there to dance, for the music - or like me, both! :) |
