I'm very impressed with your work here. Fruity only. I never thought it was possible to make such sounds with the internal vst's :D Keep it up mate! |
thanks a lot man. i've actually been using the internal synths even more than normal lately, though not exclusively.
for anyone who cares this tune is available on www.beatport.com www.audiojelly.com and www.chemical-records.co.uk |

COOL BEAT HEHRHRHRH (sorry i'm still worked out from my Lord of Bass review) The track kinda has a Terradia feel.
I like the vocal sound... the breakdown is cool the melody is cool, gives the track an asian feel.. the melodies in the background I'd lowpass filter them since they're kind of in the same freqency range as the main melody... so it's kind of distracting... because you want people to remember the main melody more.
Good track over all.. has potential... I think the markus prog djs would like this one better than the trance ones... but that's my opinion. |

| heh yeah man you must be the king of FL... cuz those synths are pretty crappy... almost every good FL producer has to resort to using them and the buzzadaptor |

jesus christ, not only a great melodic trancer but you made it with fruityloops. ive been using that program for 4 years and i thought it was limited. youve just made me a believer of the opposite.
can i ask how you acheived some of these sounds. espeically the bass, howd you do that?
howd you master the song too, it sounds so crisp and clean as opposed to my fruity tracks which seem muddled and a little chuncky?
you can pm if you dont want this taking over your thread.
i saw your tracks on audiojelly. im thinking about purchasing. but first i gotta get some cash. ;)
great work |

thanks for the support guys :D
regarding the bass - it was made using 3 instances of 3xosc. one channel is doing a low sub bass, there is a middle arpeggio, and then a 16th note saw thats mostly high end. heres a little picture that might explain how they are all working together:
k=kick s=sub bass m=midbass(arp) h=hibass
k---k---k---k---
---s--s----s--s-
-mmm-mmm-mmm-mmm
hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
make sense?
since people seem to be interested in the instrumentation of the track, heres a list of what synths i relied most heavily on. in many cases it was necessary to have multiple channels to create the right sound - the bass was 3 3oscs and the main lead was 2 sytruses.
3xOsc - 8
TS404 - 3
Sytrus - 7
SimSynth - 1
If you guys wanna know anything more about how the tune was made just ask. There is plenty of ability to these synths. If you don't believe me go check out Wim/Icone/Van Gelder's set of soundbanks on his website (www.icone-music.be). He has created a ton of presets for 3osc, ts404 and wasp that show what the synths are capable of.
edit: ok that picture didn't turn out the same as it looked before i submitted it. i think the 'm' and the 'h' are too big. here it is again with different letters.
k=kick s=sub bass z=midbass(arp) x=hibass
k---k---k---k---
---s--s----s--s-
