Motorcycle - My Blue Heart

I've read motorcycle are playing a new track! We all know "Around You" is not as good as "ATRC", but how is "My Blue Heart" compared to those or maybe to "Imagination", which I've only heard in the acoustic version.

same track as far as i know, rumours started with "before we fade away" when people were unsure of the real track name. Lyrics in "Around You" contain "before we fade away" hence the confusion. |

yeah, there is also a Gabriel & Dresden remix - don't mix it up ;)
but back to topic: Nobody have heard the track? There is a set G&D played a couple of days ago: "Gabriel & Dresden - Melomania on SSL (11-04-05)". I've missed it - no I've heard it, but I didn't know they play the new Motorcylce, so I haven't listend attentive to it.. |

| I've heard the track the original poster is talking about , and personally the vocals were a little irritating, I'm not a fan of that mix. |

when G&D makes a Motorcycle track with Jes they first record the vocals with a guitar and that would be the 'Acoustic' version (like 'imagination' appeared on the Bloom cd). then they mix it down in the studio maybe to an unfinished demo version. then they work some more with it and when they are satisfied with it, it becomes a 'Gabriel & Dresden Mix'.. they dont name it Original mix (i guess that is a smart way to promote their names for ppl that dont know who Motorcycle really is)
so there isnt really a 'Motorcycle - Around You (Original mix), thats just the version stupid Armin spins.. an early(?) demo version wich he prefers and will edit for the Armada release..(thats how i remembered Dresdens post in some thread)
puh.. back to the topic:
ive heard the dub of 'My Blue Heart' in that radio set.. and its very different from Around You.. not so catchy and trancy and its different from ATRC too. i would describe it as more proggressive that ATRC but that is a vague term lol more housy also :P
theres some vocals in the dub, and its both Jes and a male voice who sings.
so its not so catchy but my guess is it grows like bitch on you :D
so its very original, and originality is good!

| i think these follow ups to ATRC demonstrate the problem with such a first monster tune...you try too hard to match the first ones popularity and end up making something that isn't that great. just have some fun with it fellas...we all know you can make some tunes when you want to... |

| I hear of all these Motorcycle tunes but haven't heard any of them at all. Cant be gettin much exposure. I used to really like ATRC :D |

"my blue heart" was originally intentioned only to be played as the last song on our essential mix, but we ran out of time. it's really just going to be a dj tool for us in our sets until the main mixes are sorted. "my blue heart' is a very dark love song that has a full verse chorus and verse.
we are not trying to do anything specific, really. we just write songs and make them to play out. we're not trying to "top' as the rush comes, more like how deep dish followed up "flashdance" with something way different but in my opinion equally (if not better) called "say hello"
