What are some prog tunes you guys know of that have the same BPM as others? I want to finetune my beatmatching and I thought this would help me out a little.

Hmm, I gotta restrict my shopping parameters then haha. I have prog tunes in all different BPMs both above and below 130 :P

Hahaha.

Part of being a successful DJ is learning how to accomodate to varying BPMS / keys. You really want it to be that easy, that you just have records with identical BPM so you don't have to do any work?

Oh, and if anyone asks why I just don't do the BPMs of my tunes myself, it's because I don't want to get a wrong BPM in case I start timing on the beat or right before the beat, etc.

Ya, beatmatch a Prog record with a driving techno record perfectly and it will teach you to be able to beatmatch without any difficulty and it will train you to compinsate if you need to beatmatch quick. I used to do that when I first began mixing before I started mixing prog exclusivly and beatmatching is no problem for me.

i've started to write the bpm on my cds for when im playing out, it can be really useful when the monitoring system is awful and u have to mix all in the heaphones.

but for starting out, buy allsorts, what ever you like as a track, beatmatching is a skill you need to learn :)
