the scene has gone to with idiots just going to get ed up...please stay away.

tho we all need more musical tolerance, if someone likes country then fine (tho I say don't blast it around me) or if you like rock...whatever

life is too short to waste getting angry at hip hop heads...they like it....let them be

there's a difference between liking the music and trying to force feed it to everybody else in public.

I think anyone who only likes one genre of music, whatever that may be, is way too narrow-minded.

The topic creator has a point in saying that trance isn't really "accepted" in America, but to say that it should be the only music people listen to or that people should be forced to listen to it is pretty ridonkulous.

Trance allows me to be a more peaceful person, with all things I interact with, and for my overall aura.

After leaving a good session of trance I can be totally oblivious (in a good way) to all the negative things around me; people that flip you off on the road, the ones that get in your way, or the people that make your job harder. Trance gives me that euphoric feeling that allows me to not judge anything, but to creatively find what I can appreciate in whatever it is. And I do appreciate other genres of music, but none have affected me quite like trance. I am not saying that other music can’t have similar affects on other people, but what I have experienced from Trance propels me to express my love for Trance. When thinking of the possibilities of who I can help with this music, I can’t be silent. I Think that anyone who listens to trance, and knows of its wonderful nature, should try to spread its greatness.

Trance does makes the individual feel unique (/sheltered), because the mass amount of people that don't listen to trance don't understand what trance music does for the individual. So the upside is that people might see you as someone with unique taste in music (or you feel this way without their word of it), and having a greater amount of sensitivity for sound and art. The downside is that you rely on their word (or their actions which creates your thought) to make this unique feeling come about. Not always, but from what I see, I would rather spread music than horde it. And if anyone wants to send me their music, I will give it a chance if I have the time.

It is a shame that one great day, in the parameters of personal preference, can create such distress, in the opposite of preference. I posted in order to get others to give my preference of music a chance, for the possibilities of what they personally can gain from it, but I did not mean to send the message that I don’t care for anything else, or feel there should be nothing else. If anything, I like to hear more music from other cultures, and I think that Trance can be the perfect blending tool. I desire people not to loose their individuality, but to have more diversity, and still have understanding for their neighboring individual. I don’t want to be passive with my music, or passive with other peoples decisions; I think that there is too much affecting us in negative ways, when we remain passive.

Before this post had existence, when it was only a thought, I was hoping to find more goal driven people for social change. I hoped, while writing the original post, that this topic would branch out to see possibilities, and problems with social influence. Now, with a retrospective mind, I want people just to post on what music’s personal influence can do to bring people to a common ground. But if people choose to remain as distant as foreign religion, with there preferences, then I guess not many can bridge the gap.

I, myself, would feel instantly better about the day, if someone drove past me with trance music on. The music would light up the day before me, like the cell-shading in the "Telepopmusik", music video, "Breathe".

makes it seem like we're no better than any other people who think their music is God's gift to man.

Here is a place for Trance missions to be posted. These missions are to spread the culture/awareness of Trance music in any city you go to. This is a way to kill off the ignorance, that the majority of the American population has towards our Golden music. For the purpous of moving all musical cultures to the future, and making Trance a significant icon of modern music style, we must find ways to teach people of Trance music.

I don't like the idea of a city that doesn't accept trance music, or people who think that trance is not music! I hate the idea that people drive around, in their "Fast and The Furious" imitation cars, playing Hip-Hop with too much bass and no clearity (that isn't music, it is only vibrations), and while that is accepted trance is not?! I don't like the idea that when I am listening to "Sasha" in my CD Player, and someone asks me what I am listening to, curious to see if my taste relates to theirs, I tell them who it is but they stand there with a ignorant expression. That is not right! And for me, I am tired of accepting their ignorance. I have a more long-term goal for spreading the culture of trance, but I think there are a lot of things we can do to end this frustration. Many of you know about what I say, but probably not thought to change the situation. This is a place for revolutionary Ideas to bring birth to a new music society. Post theories, progress, and missions here.

I will post the first mission, which is very simple to start with, but as the awareness spreads the Trance Awareness Projects will have to be bolder, and then greater benifits will come of it.

FIRST MISSION (Day): "Play Trance In Public"

1. find a crowded area or street, preferably a street that has slow traffic and a lot of pedestrians.

2. Drive by the area very slowly, Legally slow, and play your selected "trance song".

3. turn the volume up, and make sure that people are noticing.

4.If the people do not notice the music turn up the volume, and if nothing then, come through the area a second time with a different approach; New Song, Higher Volume, Slower!

5.Move to another area, and keep playing for a good while, in order for the music to set in.

If people notice and are happy, you succeeded. If people noticed, but are upset, you succeeded. The point of this mission is to spread trance music into a normal day of life, and to inspire a rutine in other people. Just like Hip-Hop or Rock is played, so will trance, and it will be better.

PS: This mission will have the greatest affect on people, if it is done during the day. At night it is easier for people to shake their head at any different behavior, and trance is often thought of as night music (which I agree), but we don't want to limit ourselfs with these kinds of steriotypes/standards.

+100 Top-Notch post.I am with him on THIS ONE!

Its a shame IMO when TA's themselves dont feel so strong bout the music they are "Addicted" to. Again as pointed out by "01-revo", its not about being narrow OR being stuck-up about one Genre of music. But really feeling for the one you love especially when it does bring out a change in you and the way you feel about life in general.

Many may not agree with what I said, but this is how I feel and its regardless of what anyone's opinion on this subject might be.

Thanks/Sumit A.
