To Record From A Vinyl...

hello...i bought lately a turntable [stanton str-80]
and i have problem to record from a vinyl to the computer [wav file].
i record a vinyl, and when i hear the result - i hear the track but with minor noise on the background....
How can i record from vinyl so i won't hear the f* noises around
please help me here guys

| are you recording to a laptop, i had that same probably, but now i use a desktop computer, also make sure the that mic is muted while hte line in is not |

i record to a DeskTop Comp, Not a laptop.

| what program do you use, i use sound forge, yea, so i dont know, might wanna clean off that vinyl, or wait, do you have that ground plugged into the amplifier or the mixer, that ground is that little wire looks like it has a C on the end, you screw that into the ground part on the mixer of the amplifier, let me know fi that works |
