Hello again
I was wondering one little thing...
what are your opinions about DRM (digital rights management)... This means: when you pay for a song through a downloadservice, you are restricted in what you do with that file
e.g. you cannot burn (or only burn it once ...) onto a CD, you can only listen to the file on 1 computer,...
So whats your opinion? |

| It's an important legal protection for file downloading services. If you don't agree with their restrictions, you don't have to use their services. So I would say that it is a good thing. |

| Haha, is this a serious question? What sane person will say "yes I like being babysat and whiplashed around like a little b*tch with regards to property I've paid for; I love having to buy the same track more than once, hell yeah!" |

Finally a decent poll.
Tough question. It's kinda ty that u usually pay over a buck and can't do whatever u want with it. It's like renting a track until your computer dies or a cd becomes unplayable. Which we all know happens way too often.
On the other hand it's a smart idea on how to make money on mp3s and while it's still fairly new, it will eventually overgrow buying stuff the traditional way. Prices will go down and maybe then it will make sense to put restrictions.
BTW I'm sure there are ways to go around it... |

| I work for a record label and we have seen the effects of what Filesharing has done to the marketplace for certain styles of music....if the artists cannot make money what is the point - I guess supplementing incomes are the option...starving artist....this is sad:sadgreen: :sadgreen: :sadgreen: |

| Typically I would only purchase songs online that I really enjoy and it would be a travesty that there should be usuage restriction placed on a track I like so much that I used my hard earned money to purchase it with. |

i hate DRM. IMO DRM can suck my and burn in hell. it's ing bull. copy-protected cds and mp3s and wmas. that. i'll do whatever i want with my music ffs. and no i don't want to buy it again if my computer dies or my cdrs get ed. this isn't the right way to restrict illegal filesharing. this is just badly pissing people off.

| I don't like it! I never download songs through the internet anyway. I somehow feel more satisfied when I buy a CD or Vinyl... |

| i dont like this idea. if i pay £3 for a cd single, i want to be able to drop by my mates house and let him listen to it while we chill. i dont want to pay £3 for a file that isnt allowed to leave the my documents folder on my pc. |

| I guess it's futile to try and stop the spread of filesharing and Mp3 downloading, why not work with it? |
