| Can you use reason to play another synth like a nova? Cos i didmt think you could, but transa was going on about using a jp8000 with reason. Can anyone put me straight over this? |

I think it's the other way around, you use the synth to play reason..
you hook it up through midi, and then when you press the keys on your keyboard, it plays the reason sounds. |

I've only played with reason for a little bit, but I Think the above assumption is correct.
You could most probably use Reason's 16 step sequencer to drive another synth.

| well it probably uses the synth in the same way as midi, so I assume you can use any synth/ keyboard with it, that is nice because you can get it more on time and when you sinc it as well.... damn I wish I had a comp that could run that :p |

I think that's how it work to. I don't think it's possible to get the synths sounds playing in reason, but the synth can play reasons sounds. This meaning that using a good synth with reason is a bit (very:p) unnecessary. You're probably better off with cubase or logic and rewire to reason, so you can use everything:) |

| your using the keyboard as a controller for Reason. u can use it to play sequences or as a trigger for the Rex Loop engine or the sampler. very nifty feature, i do think :D:D:D |

| i use a keyboard to play reason sounds, but i don't think u can use reason to play keyboards sounds, but like fatboy said if u rewire cubase and reason u can get cubase to play keyboards sounds....and actually rewiring reason is a handy tool...when using just reason u only have 2 channels, but when u rewire to cubase u now have all 64 available if u need them all.....so its nice |
