I got a boy-scouts badge for astronomy, I think i pointed out a star, knew the name of 2 constellations & the phases of the moon. Damn if only it was all that easy

yeah chapter 1 aboutthe beginning of the universe...those picture hehe...

800 galaxies in a shot, and then 5000 , and then the next is 5 million galaxies...

100 billion galaxies so far and some are travelling at 1000 miles a second this stuff is just a fun mind trip.

one of our satellites will come within a trillion (inconsequential) miles of our closes star in 20,000 years and because its travelling so fast towards us it will cut 200,000 years off the travel time...

I love this stuff hehe. The next couple of chapters are greek history and , but skip into einstein and newton and they should be interesting :)

i'm taking an astronomy course at the moment.. very interesting subject.

it makes me sad sometimes, though.. when you realise how big the universe really is. i mean, it's almost unimaginable.. billions and billions of galaxies :eek:

astronomy is cool stuff. i wish i was a genius and could like look at the sky and realize that it works the way it does like the old school astronomer dudes...that's awesome...
