Its just a huge distorted KICK. the bass is also a distorted kinda sound at the same place where the kick is so there is no melody... AT ALL.

people cant separate gabber and REAL hardcore becouse of these dutch labels like ID&T's.. thunderdome collections..
gabber is ^160-220 bpm simple dance music with distorted kicks...ripped samples..like raps, crappy melodies (80%) and energic flow

There is no deadline. It explicitly states on the website that the competition finishes when they believe they have a good enough number of high quality remixes. Once this happens, the original will be released.
As for the $500, you won't get $500 unless they feel it's a really ground breaking remix. What it states in the fineprint is that if your remix gets selected, you'll recieve a $100 credit at their store, along with a vinly/cd of the release. It then continues to state how the biggest prize is the fact you'll have your name associated with their label and gain exposure.
