k househeads.. I can distinctly remember at least several nights in the last year where you had 4 or 5 house headliners playing in the city on the same night.. like Carter @ Gravity, Morales @ Stereo, Ali or Sharam or both @ Aria, Morillo @ Red Lite, and someone else at Circus.. zero sympathy from me. ;)

But I agree.. a bit different to see a 514 party with no house, with the exception of maybe their Forza & Oasis ones.
I'd bump Lawrence from the list.. save him for a club night if that, though I am not a fan personally.
Save the airfare and get another Canadian like Deko-ze, Mark Oliver, Preach, Brad Copeland,Hatiras, etc.. because in the end, they are certainly not less of a draw in these parts anyway.

anyway.. nice to see Liebing & the Hip Hop room on there :)
I love parties at the Big O too.. been 5 years!!

Well there are different types of parties at the Big O.. in the actual stadium and then various make-shift venues in other sections of the complex.. last party I went to at the Big O was the latter, with a very housey Cream 2000 lineup of Sneak, Max Graham, Timo Mass, Doc Martin, Lafleche, and some other Canadian.. maybe Acquaviva.. anyway.. it rocked!
but as for the venue, the promoters at the time had fun with it, the Cream one I mentioned even had one of those 'jumping inflatabble' things you see at fairs and stuff! there were also a lot of mist areas in the hallways, patio furniture set up everywhere to sit at.. one of the best parties I went to for those kind of extras anyway.. (make up for ty lights maybe??) not like the Cavernous Molson Centre! The lineup makes or breaks it for me usually, but I am looking forward to the venue this time for sure :)

++ Hip Hop room at Swirl again.. w00t

umm.. EARTH TO KRINKER!!!!! :stongue:

Swirl *was* the 514 techno party if there ever was one fyi ;)
Believe me.. this one is the one I'd be least shocked about a techno headliner if they were still following the same general formula... but it's not the case anymore. Now.. well... what's not to love about Chris Liebing at the Big O?
Don't worry.. I'll duck out of that room when need be.. at least this time I have options!
my girlfriends will be going too, I know it'll be a fun night regardless :)
looking forward to it!

Im so excited about this night. New location, new type of vibe, new smell, i love it.

Let's see if this venue will beat molson center parties, cause i just love the vibe there.

Just curious about sound? how is that going to be handled? How was it last time (Kate?)
Heard the last party at the big-o had problems.

Christopher Lawrence does not sound like techno, he does not play epic, and its not hardtrance like the German or Dutch versions. Its a driving trance, almost borderline sounding like psytrance, but its way better than psytrance. I almost guarantee you won't be able to ID more than 2 songs in his set, and u will LOVE every minute of it. C.Lawrence is a flawless DJ & great producer. His style is very unique, and he's always been a great addition to any party. He's also the only trance dj from the US to be invited to play any of the major European festivals, and those votes from across the pond is what probably propelled him to #7 on the DJ List last year.
