i don't really know if you can call his tracks progressive.......they're still very much trance (in terms of melodic.)....anyways.......I think AVB's set definitely (if anything) matched tiesto's..........tiesto's my favorite.......but AVB.......he's a star too......

 Hey welcome to T.A., this is the best site in the world.... but i have to say Armin's set at State 01 (Nov.10@The Docks) won the title for best sets though...hehe... good to see more people on the boards. |

| Forgot to mention, I saw Tiesto at WinterGalactic ver 2 ... He was ok. I felt Tiesto wasn't try and also something was missing from his set. Maybe it was b/c that party was a all-age party. I noticed all ages parties ... the crowd seems to be quite silent. Thats one of the reason why I like 19+ events much better. |

I went to that too... yeah the younger ones tend to be more quiet then the us older ones, but that night i thought the sound system wasn't up to par as it should've been. Still a good night, hopefully the Wintergalactic will be better. |

all age events are lousy (in my opinion) because i find the younger ones aren't there for the music, but for the image instead, which is why they are less responsive.. sad truth is that i have some friends that are like this, and what's even more unfortunate is that i'm still underage by one year .. DOH :p |

I just wish all the promoters in Toronto hosting Trance events should just do 19+ events. If WinterGalactic was 19+ only .... I'll know for sure the amount of ppl attending will double. We all use to attend raves when we were younger right ? We're all growing up and the fact is ... 19+ events are the old school ravers, the one who party for the right reasons and the ones who don't cause trouble.

Well I'm another new T.A. member... I've been reading the forums here for months to see what people thought of all the great dj's we've had in T.O. and finally decided to join. I met some of you at State and figured this was the best way keep in touch.
So... I figure I throw in my two cents about what's been said in this thread. I thought Tiesto played an amazing set...and having so many people around movin' to his music was really somethin' to see. PVD played a good set too but I wasn't into it as much since I knew I had to work the next morning. Armin's set kept me goin' the whole time but since he was on so late and had to end with the with lights goin' on, was a bit of a downer. I wish he could have played a longer set and have some chill music afterwards. Still the crowd there was top notch. I'd have to say Armin barely edge out Tiesto and PVD gets the bronze...
...btw... I have to agree with SOS2 Galvatron and Malice on the 19+ thing... |

I hope I can get the Armin van Buuren set from SonicState soon, I just wanna hear what I missed ... after I left. Seems like he playing a really good set by the time I was walking out of the doors. (Too bad they put him on the decks soooo freakin' late) |

Can't wait for the AVB / Orkidea live sets to come up for download. It did suck that he was on so late, so I'm hopin' he'll be back again to T.O. Wintergalactic '02? Probably not, but who knows... Well I'm sure when the set comes on it'll be a hot commodity. Later... |
