I think my landlord is pretty pissed... he lives on the floor below me and my mates (which makes it pretty hard to have a party). he's pretty good in general (bitches a lot, but harmless) cause i think we woke him up two nights in a row.
how on earth to mitigate? apologetic note/bottle of wine? personal apology (just taking the flack)? not looking forward to it, but hafta do something. |

hehe, don't laugh, i've done that.
and yes, i was not impressed with the landlords living there to start, but 1050/mo for a large 3bdrm w/digital cable, insuite laundry, air-con and appliances incl. is not a bad deal for Toronto. |

the landlord has many limitations to what he can do or say to you. if you are written in a contract, take a look at what it says about noise complaints. your best bet is to inform him prior to your parties.
this is scary how much i know. i have my real estate state exam tomorrow morning at 7:45. wish me luck! |

cool, good luck bro... that's wicked! the people i know that have gotten into real estate i know would never turn back and are generally very happy.
yeh, i'm generally pretty aware of my rights as a tenant... it really comes down to a respect thing 'cause they're really quite nice as people go. i actually feel bad when we piss them off. |

good luck man, i'm starting classes this summer for the DRE exam, if i do well, it should help me get through college, since you only need a high-school diploma or certification........ |

i actually took the class online, but it counts as full credit towards my college. there was 2 reasons i did this...
1.) only takes 18 days to finish the course(no earlier), which is good for people who like fast paced stuff
2.) i landed a job at a Mortgage firm and I wanted my license so once this semester is over I can start directly after.
if you need any books or advice(not sure its ok to say this since i haven't passed my test yet) just drop me a pm |
