How to clean a 1210-MK2

Anyone know how to properly clean a Technics MK2 1210?
I got a 5 and a 6 year old one here and I smoke a lot in my room.
I've realized that the pitch shifting of my babies has heavily increased , which makes it hard for me to mix 2 tunes for 30sec+ without readjusting the speed :sadgreen:
Maybe someone got a picture tutorial how to clean it?

I havent yet taken my babies apart :D so I cant really give any good advice on how to clean it from inside - I just dust the bi@tch every now and then.

But you really shouldnt smoke near the equipment. Mixers faders suffer the most from this.

here's a guide. Another thing, not to preach, but smoke is not only bad for you, but for your electronics as well. I've seen many powersupplys, mobo, fans, etc die from smoke and tar while at work.

Or use the dust covers. I use a towel for my mixer lol.

dustcovers + pillowcase over the mixer work for me. getting a coffin/cases works too (obviously), but itd be pretty expensive

Hmmm... so smoke is exceptionally bad for equipment eh?

What about this situation: I don't smoke Cigarrettes (Or crack, meth, etc.), but I do occasionally like to ummmm... I can't think of a creatively vague reference for the words "smoke herb" ;) :D ;) .

In any event, sometimes this occurs in the same room as my setup, but quite a ways away and in a well ventilated room, with windows wide open. I'm sure the response will be "Still bad," but is it really terrible if it doesn't happen near the equipment/incredibly frequently?

Meh... I'm just looking to rationalize a habit, in any event, what do you all think?

I thought you were going to say "but I do occasionally like to ummmm... I can't think of a creatively vague reference for the words "wack off" ;) :D ;)" onto your equipment.. i read further though, and what a relief it was. Dont even wanna know what youd do live.
