I have nothing against Montreal, or the fine ppl there ..... as a whole ... but when it comes to absolutely pointless inflammation & attempted aggrevation for nothing but the sheer desire to start something b/c you have nothing better to do.... well I gotta say I love it ...
I love the fact that you have the unmitigated gaul to come on here (or anywhere for that matter) to attempt to start a fight when you decide to fire your opening salvo reiterating how horribly closed minded you really are.
For instance... the whole start listening to prog or what ever more often (forgive me as I have ZERO attention span, a fault I love in the fact that it prevents me from holding a grudge for too long) ... I say how about this??? .... START LISTENING TO EVERYTHING
& once you have heard everything then you may pass judgement...similar to passing judgement on ppl.... I have not met the ppl whom you have decided to single out ... thus I cannot pass judgement on their ideas, concepts, or beliefs,... & personally, I feel, nor should you have.... simply b/c you could (& almost certainly) have gone into battle w/out knowing your opponent.
Either way, to me this just sounds like you're upset at your own inadequacies & feel the need to impose your opinion on those whom you feel oppose your views (without even knowing whether they actually do or not).... so to conclude this rambling I have but three things to say:
1) this post is definitely the byproduct of my boredom at this point in time
2) Music is neither a lingua franca nor purpose or anything else ...it is a beautiful means of expression that breeds other expressions.... so share all types with all types & never begrudge someone for sharing their attitude, tunes, or what have you b/c you could be ignoring something worth listening to simply b/c you're too busy listening to your own biased thoughts (yes, just like the media, our mind is a filter that reports to our own consciousness with its own bias)

3) (as I've said so many times on the floor of Guv, Stereo, Aria, etc.)
SHUT UP & DANCE
(who cares what the beat is as long as it's there!)

The world must be becoming a pretty f'd place if people are now getting on for being 'too positive' or 'too peppy' or 'too nice'
what the hell is the big effin deal? if you don't like the pepness and the unity in the TO forum.. don't frickin read it.. nobodys got a gun to your head buddy.. just stay out.. obvioulsy this little rant of a thread isn't going to stop any of it so just leave it alone..
no one said you have to love the TO scene.. but guess what.. there are people that do... and they like to talk about it with eachother and so what if its exciting to them.. i'm sure you all have exciting stuff that you like to talk about as well.. and no one in here is making a huge stink out of it... so lay off their deal!
just because the TOTA-ers are able to form lifelong friendships and party together every chance they get and have an AMAZING time doing it doesn't give anyone a right to try and put a downer on it..which i can tell you right now won't happen...these ppl are way too fun loving and they love that they can expirience it with the other poeple in the forum...its like a massive group of friends..and most people don't like being rude or offensive to their friends in person soo why the hell would they want to do it on a freaking internet post forum??
so really.. this thread is a total waste of everyones time...
and when was it a crime to show passion and pride to the town you are from?? |

EXACTLY. Oh look at me guys, I just shat in my pants and had to use my gf's tampon to plug up my leaking faucet. This type of thread apparently drives TOTAs mad with postage desire, and receives on average about 150 to 200 replies. Sad and pathetic. |
