Well I understand both sides of what is being said. I spent this whole school year learning html and I just got my site up. I'm really excited to expose the site as this will help me share my mixes to those who haven't seen me play in NYC or at the out of town gigs. I apoligize to Swamper if this post was a bit rude and I will create a link from my site to trance addict as a way to say thankyou.

i kinda know jason myself...and i know he wouldn't have done anything like this intentionally if he thought it was wrong... IT's a cool site by the way...
maybe one day he's come up to Toronto and we can hear him spin!!....

I just noticed you're with CIHost.com.
They SUCK - get out NOW!!!
I was with them for 6 weeks... I made the stupid mistake of signing up for a 3 month deal with them so when I cancelled my account I lost 6 weeks worth of 'service'.
Their tech support SUCKS - it's run by idiots.. I had to explain things multiple times to them before they understood...
1) the sample cgi/perl scripts they provided did not work
2) the sendmail script they gave didn't work because the path to the executable on the NT server was incorrect - when I edited the script with the correct path it still DID NOT work.. they agreed it was ed and after 5+ weeks it still wasn't fixed.
3) email to tranceaddict.com was bounced, it only worked if it was @www.tranceaddict.com -- it took them a week to fix this.
I could go on but i'll stop... they'll rip you off and you over.. especially for bandwidth charges - if you're hosting big files with them you're going to get nailed. Thousands of people have had a bad experience with them... Go read up some more:

Check the newsgroups too - the only reason they're on the top of certain web host directory rankings is because those rankings are paid off and they get a commission per signup. All those rankings are bull - sad, but true.

For the record, I think I should just set up a forum for people to announce this sort of stuff... but if it's his own mixes/music that's all good - what bothers me are other mp3 web pages that come on here and post their links in the hopes of stealing some easy traffic - be dedicated and have a page with content people want and you'll get traffic, don't spam my board.

Thanks for the info. and I agree with you about CI Host. I've had some problems with them already but everything seems to be going smoothly at the moment. I've only been with them for a week though.
