while spinning i sometimes when reversing the track to the start, the turntable platter stops. its because the record grabs the platter to hard or is much thicker and harder to spin around.
this only happens when im reversing back on the label part!
do you notice this with some records feel different on the platter?
and should i just take more care because im not sure if this is harming my treasured decks?
its not much of a problem but i would like some comments from your experience!
i know it probly does it because i overcome the tourque of that the platter can handle.

What kind of slipmats are you using? Get some butter rugs.

usually it's because the spindle hole isn't drilled quite big enough, and it fits too snuggly on the spindle. Happens with some records

naah im using original technics slip mats, there all right. but it is definatly to do with the spindle hole not being big enough, some records i have bought have needed to be made just a little bigger cause they aint fit.

Rememberance is probably right, and he's a top flight DJ. Those tech slipmats should do the job find.
