Hi, I use FL studio 5, I don't like it's playlist window, so i will eventually get acid pro as a loop sequencer/ mastering suite (VST support)

But lately I've been hearing the MAC Yaysayers state that MAC is soooo much more stable, and it probably is.. (unix based) BUT I HATE THE SOFTWARE THAT's out there for MAC.

Is there anyone out there that feels that the PC has better choices for production software?

And do PC's really crash during most production sessions (like the MAC yay sayers scream that they do)

Anyways, any info/opinions on this would be helpful.

ive been producing on this same pc since my days of ejay back in 1999, the pc has turned green and has a optimized for windows 98 sticker on the side.

it has only ever crashed once.

the only other times it has turned off during a session is when ive kicked the on/off button accidentaly.

theres definitely more variety on pc thats for sure. if you're on a budget and feel like exploring...stay with/use a pc.

but if you want industry standard, a mac is a certain help there...

to be honest I can't see why folks fight over which is better, they both do a grand job if you use them properly.

im a pc user. fl studio 5.0. i get problems with fl studio and my delta 1010 and i get ASIO overloads all the time. ive never crashed so hard ive had to restart though so ive never lost any work. basically my PC just shoots up to 100% cpu load. hangs for a bit and it sort of sorts itself out after a while if i manically press stop and let floops unknot itself.

its not exactly fun when it does this. but pcs really arent bad for producing at all. perfectly useable.

as for comparisons between a mac and pc? you have to try both out and see which one you like more. there are advantages and disadvantages to both. i use a pc because its cheaper, and i can doss out on a wide variety of games which arent mac compatible. although my pc is ugly as sin....

thanks for your help!
I can live without being "industry standard"
but I can't live with a setup that doesn't work for me.

And the PC works perfectly for me.
