I would really like to know how to recreate this sound and what it consists of (waveforms etc..). And if anybody knows which synth made these kind of old skool chicago sounds, that would be splendid. I think it was a Roland, possibly a Juno, but its just a guess.
Thx.

That sound sounds pretty sampled.. Its impossible for a Juno to make that kind of sound. It's probably a ROMpler or something similar. |

The Korg Wavestation has a guitar sound like that.
I'm guessing from what it sounds that they filtered that patch...it doesn't sound too bright. =o) |

Its a yamaha DX7 or one of the roland D series- one ripped the other one off with their preset :stongue:
Classic old skool piano that- with a touch of delay. |

Any idea how I can re-create it?

Its a sampled chord...what you need to do is play a chord (I think this example you have sounds a minor chord) sample this chord onto one key (say C4) and then you play back the chord stabs on various keys on your keyboard...I hope that makes sense?
Its a classic old school hardcore trick...
as for the actual sound it does seem to be digital in nature. I got stuff like that off an old Casio VZ10m years ago, so a DX synth should see you right. Its def not an anaolg though. |

Anybody got any idea on which DX preset this is, or maybe some tips on making it? |
