Safri's goal was very nice, but Rooney's was apocaliptic, I'm not not sure Ive ever seen a volley executed as sweetly as that. |

| Zidanes volley in the champions league final was harder to execute, he had to generate the power in the shot himself as he hit it standing and side on. Rooney was running towards a ball coming straight back at him, all he had to do was hit the target and the power would take care of itself! Still a cracking strike though. |

It's a great goal - but describing it with words like, apocolyptic is going way overboard. |

| You people talk here like you are all professional soccer players! :haha: Rooney's goal is sheer ing class. Talking about skill here, woah, that is some tremendous skill!!! To possess a powerful kick from a volley like that, it doesn't come everyday to a player's leg. |

| look dude. certainly nobody on here has anywhere near the footballing qualities of rooney. also that was certainly a great goal and while the ball came perfectly to him, it was an excellent kick. however, it's just one goal in some premiership match when man utd doesn't even have anymore chances of winning the title. it's not like this caused rooney to suddenly became humanity's biggest hero ever. |
