I really feel for your friend, although i didn't really understand the first part of your post... the whole relationships with the aunt, the cousin, the cousin's friend's aunt :wtf: or something... didn't really get that lol Has your friend's mom outright told her she couldn't date the guy or is this just what someone else heard and then repeated to her? If she only heard about it, she should confront her mom and bring the issue out in the open. It's better for her to be clear about everything.
IMHO, if the mother really had such a big problem with it she would have straight out told her daughter. I'd find out if her cousin (or whatever that relation is) is right first before making assumptions that could be potentially harmful to their mother-daughter relationship. |
My friends mom was talking to her sister (my friends aunt) on the phone. Thats when her aunt was told this by my friends mom. Then her aunt talked to her daughter (my friends cusin) about it. In turn, my cusin told my friend what was said.
She is talking to her aunt today about it to find out exactly whats up, so she knows from the actual person who was told it. They are both totally sticking up for her as they should. Either way, her mom is the one that needs to change or live with it, not my friend. |

| The only piece of advice I can give is that she would have to follow her heart , although her mom might have a problem with the guy being asian , she has to do what she thinks is right alothugh it might go against her mothers wishes, there are obstacles in being in an interracial couple that she would have to jump over to be with him her mother's point of view is nothing new and one she has to relize. But again follow ur heart and the rest can be overcome. |

one of my ex's mother had a problem with me because we didn't shared same politic view,so she made her daughter to break up with me.
no advice can be given here,let the situation to sort itself,dating,seeing,loving is still not marriage and i don't think that mother should really worry about anything. |

religion, politics, race,etc can always effect a relationship. not good stuff. best not bring up politics ever at the least |
