who exactly will this be? Just wondering since I've already opened for 4 already..:tongue2

I'd like to play for this since I live close but, I do not know any progressive DJs from Dallas who'd make the drive without being compensated for travel expenses.

Still working on signing HEADLINERS from TEXAS. We need Headliners from every genre, and they must be from Texas...its only fair. We have contacted a few, and have others inmind. But the final announcement of headliners will be made on the final flyer.

Since this is a battle/competition type thing, we might end up going against each other. I haven't heard you play live yet but I've heard your violet crown sessions mixes and I have alot of respect.

I'm game on entering this...although Im feeling a bit undertain about the whole competition aspect of it. How will this be judged extactly? Who can say who is a better DJ. Like hypothetically say me and Steven Hays battled, and both of us have a a solid sets both in beatmatching and track selection, will it then fall down on the preference of the crowd? (as far as their reaction) cuz if thats the case it might be a lil unfair if say...one guy was more popular while the other was more technically proficient, mixing harmonically, etc.

Maybe Im reading to far into this..easy to do after working over 11 hours of hard labor lol. But yeah just wondering on what criteria each performer (DJ) will be judged.

You won't be mixing for 11 hours straight. If your skillz hold up at the most u will mix 4 times in the day, and not all back to back. Now, as i told another forum....

All are 2x4 sets. If you can't hang in 2x4's dont send a demo. We are getting alot, and it takes a lot of time to sift through them.

Reason for sending a demo is some dj's really dont know how to mix, and that would be unfair to the audience. Yes we do know a lot of Houston(texas) DJs, but demo's are always good to have for other events and promotion.

Now, in a sense, we are picking dj's. The top 16 from every genre will get a chance at the title, trophey, money, and the slot to open for headliners.

And no, not really "batte" style, only who has more advanced skillz.

Remember, this is all for fun and games, and the love for MUSIK.

Wouldn't be a problem..as I have done 4-5 hour sets without breaks. repeating tracks.

I figured you had heard me play before...fair enough, I'll be sending a copy of my proton radio set and live at eternal nightclub set. Both are live...and not everyone gets to play on Proton Radio or open for NU NRG..headliners that come from Italy. :D

Love for the music is the only reason I've stuck with this for 4 years. May the best DJ win :)
