Also, I think all this escalated into this because of ppl defying the MODS by placing BIG sigs in purpose to piss them off and then it went into stuff that was actually childish as Swamper well put it. |

if i recall he did not have a big sig.
if it was peeps defying the Mods?? why ban Funk instead of those peeps. from what i read he was simply making a comment & not directing to anyone in particular.

Funketeer is not banned. He is suspended for two weeks.
I can't speak for Neo but there are certain common yet unsaid rules a user should implicitly know when using a forum. Such as no spamming or no trolling. It is nearly impossible to accurately define spamming or trolling so the moderator's disgression is used. It is the job of every moderator to assess whether a user does more harm than good for the forum. When it is decided a user causes more misery than good, the user is suspended. Repeated suspensions yield a ban.
Suspensions serve as a warning to the user. Funk can come back after two weeks but from the looks of his posts on CP, he may not want to. Besides, most of the people objecting to Funk's suspension is already posting with him at CP. |

Just to clarify: I never said Funk was suspended for spamming. In fact I never gave a reason for why Funk was suspended. I did give possible reasons as to why Funk was suspended because you seemed stuck on the rules listed on the user agreement during registration.
The local forum has always been a place where locals chat with one another, whether it be about parties, music, birthdays, local stereotypes and new pets. Now I can easily be more strict about these posts but that will obviously take away from your posting experience. |
