I don't like very much that Eric Prydz does, except for his Cirez D stuff but I like a few Mylo tracks and his essential mix was good. You might not like someone but that doesn't really make them commercial. Prydz is more commercial for Call On Me but even then there are DJs that are far more Coke a Cola than him. |

In all honest truth--Shawn Mitiska. Speaking beyond just being his friend, I hear most of his productions from early on in their development to their final outcome, and I have, since his first, been consistently amazed at what he can produce. He puts such dedication and passion into producing music, that there is more than simply just putting down a few layers... he puts that passion into it and creates something that is just a masterpiece.
If you can, check him out and as many of his productions as you can. :) |

he may have been good once... but someone that produces a track that is as commercialized and unrepresentative of what truly should go into his productions as that has then lost my respect for anything he further produces. there are many examples of budding producers who hit it big on some single and then before we know it are producing commercial crap just for the money and it ruins them in the entirity... i think the Call on me song is catchy anyway, but it's just not representative oft he true trance/prog electronic music community and the "underground" (even tho this may be no longer) essence of it... |
