i just went to see tiesto last nite here in new orleans louisiana and i just wanted to say that he is the most respectful dj of his fans
he got to the club early and was hanging out with everybody and taking pictures and signing autographs.When i met him i asked him if he would play voyage for a friend of mine and he said he did not have it with him,he then asked me how far i lived form the club and i told him about an hour.he told me if i lived close by he was gonna get me to go get my voyage record so he could play it for me,i could not believe he even said such a thing.Do u think a dj like oakie would do something like that for his fans,hell no.I then asked him if he would play a song for me,pulser clowdwalking,and he said yes
wehn he played clowdwalking i went nuts and he saw me and he pointed at me then at the table with the record playing on it.After his show everybody started leaving and we stuck around for a while till he came out from the back and he started talking to us again and just hanging out.He told me that when he played clowdwalking he looked for me in the crowd and when he saw me going crazy it made him happy
now come on people what other dj would stick around after their set and just hang out in the club with the people as if he were one of us

what a guy!,, seems the dutch Djs really respect their fans ,not taking anything away from the other djs, but there are many snobby DJs out there ..

Hey neo! I was there too, I was around when you asked him if he was taking requests and if he was going to spin voyage lol...right after I asked if he was going to spin his new remix of tarantula, he said of course!
He was truly amazing, really cool to talk to. Dan has some pics I am sure he will post them up here...even got one with me and tiesto in the front! I am sure he is very few of many djs that loves to talk about music like that, he is definitely one of a kind. Genuine. |

hmmmmmmmmmmmm i think it depends on the place where he plays , when it's over crowded and packed like hell (just like in montreal last month) , it was hard to get his autograph , he didn't hang out with us etc ...
another dj who's great and loves his fans is Armin Van Buuren , two weeks ago i saw him and he was wonderful , never refused to sign something , whenever someone asked him to take a pic while he was spinning , he would stop doing whatever he was doing , take a nice pose and smile for the pic . and when i asked him to spin 10 in 01 in the middle of his set , he nicely said yes . before he put it on the tt he looked and pointed at me to say this is for u ... i'll never forget that moment !! oh well , that's Armin Van Buuren BABY !!!!!!! |

see thats what makes a great dj, I think attitude has much to do with why these guys are so big. Nothing I hate worse than a dj that doesnt interact with the crowd and fans. |

neo geo what a night! :) i think it's a great thing that tiesto invested so much time and effort in you guys! i wih all dj's would do that :)
i'm not a big fan of tiesto, but stories like this make me dislike him a lot less :) you are one lucky fella, i'm sure tons of people are really jealous of you d00d :) good for you! weeeeeeeeeeee!! hehe
