When we were looking for places we used 2 websites to do most of our searcing.
www.viewit.ca
www.torontorentals.com
Both are good because they put up pictures of the places you are going to see, so you can avoid seeing dives! |

http://www.sublet.com is pretty good.
used it and found a place in montreal. sublets, leases, rentals, all categories. good search engine.
http://toronto.sublet.com for toronto ads.
i think it's like 20 bucks to contact owners for 3 months, pretty reasonable. |

I rent from a property management company called "Park Property" and they own a ton of nice places in the city...townhouses, apartment towers, duplex buildings. Pretty good landlords considering their size. they maybe have something too.
