Me Lucky Charms!

Do you have (or used to have) anything "Lucky" or that you wear for protection or even anything sentemental you keep close to you?
The last 2 years i was going through a pretty rough time. Various things had happened as some of the old school TAs may remember. My girlfriends mom (shes cantonese) gave me a large piece of jade on some string to wear around my neck.
She told me a story of how here friend was wearing some jade and was in a car crash with some friends...apparently it was very bad, the car was practically crushed and when the emergency crews arrived they expected that none of them would have survived. They all escaped with minor injuries but the jade had shattered.
I dont know if it actually works but it makes me feel safer and generally healthier when i wear it. |

| You cant make it out very well but its actually a jade green (light apple for those who dont know what jade looks like) colour but it doesnt show up. Might take another pic if you want. |

actually its a discolored jade (looks fake IMHO) or you have badluck.
Chinese interpretation of Jade is, the greener it turns while you wear it, the more luck you have.
I have a lifesaver's jade around a jade cross that's been set in white gold all held together by a whitegold chain. both are dark green... |

| I'll try taking another pic. Honestly it looks greener than it looks in the pic. They flash went off so it relfected whiter. |

Heck, if there's anything a Lira can't do, certainly 1000 Liras can :D |

had a thai necklace my step-bro brought back from thailand (meant to keep bad spirits/misfortune away) on the rear-view of my car a few years ago. went over an embankment in my car and rolled about 6 times at 65 miles and hour. i managed to walk away from it almost without injury (couple small cuts). i will post pics of the car as soon as i get a chance... it was anihilated.
i now wear another similar necklace everywhere. |

3 ultras ago, i met and hung out with shane 54 and he gave me hungarian money because i collect money from different countries...but my tin can full of it is at my dad's, so i had no place to put it except in my wallet. i've had it in there for so long that now i'm scared to take it out because i think i'll lose my wallet...lol dumb, i know.
but anyway, the other day, i went in that wallet (i don't use it any more so it's just sitting in my room) to find a business card i needed and there were 2 of those hungarian bills in there. i have no f'n clue how there are 2 in there, and i know for a fact that he only gave me one. the only possible explanation i can think of, is that there was this hungarian chick in my marketing class last quarter and i showed her the money and she got all excited and asked how i had it, bla bla bla. i have no recollection at all of her giving me one, but i guess maybe she did or maybe she showed me one that she had and i just put it in my wallet not realizing it... |

| I don't really believe in good luck charms. More power to you, if you do, but I believe everything happens for a reason. Good and bad. The good you can revel in, and the bad can be learned from. Just my opinion. |

inclined to agree, but placebo works... even if it's psychological. 'sides, who knows? |
