Calling all Orlando TAs

ok guys, so as some of you may or may not know, Guitar Center is holding their annual DJ spinoff, DJ competition. I have been put in charge of organizing this event for my store. I need people to compete as well as judge. Anyone who is interested please PM me.
Judges will recieve exclusive Guitar Center discount cards as well as other shwag.
Contestants will recieve T-shirts and discount cards just for showing up.
Contestants will also have the opportunity to win stuff from Technics including headphones, 1200mk2s, dz1200s, a full PA system from B52, and a scion Xb, and lots of other goodies including technics apparel and shopping sprees.
I need your help guys! James, Pat, Jeff, and Stan please help me show this competition that Orlando has more to offer than just Hip Hop. |

the 3 dates for the preliminary competitions are may 4, 11, and 18. the store finals will be held the 25th.
District finals will be June 15th in Miami (hallendale)
Regional Finals will be July 6th in Houston
Grand Finals will be sometime in August in LA.
drop into the store whenever possible to sign-up. these dates are all on a wednesday night and the contest will probably start around 5 PM |

so how long do they give you to perform?
and do you have to use vinyl or can ya use CDs? |

all styles are encouraged. right now there is a pretty even mix of styles, a few hip hop, a few breaks, a few house DJs.
unfortunatly it is VINYL ONLY. the only stuff you can use are records, needles and headphones, and you must bring your own. no computers, FX processors, or cds.
set times are 5 minutes, so you guys might wanna start working on a prepackaged set with 5 or so different tracks.
judging is based on the following criteria: originality, technique, style, skills, showmanship, stage performance, and overall performance.
