PVD appreciation thread for XXL set 2001

Hey all,
I been listenin to pvd for a number of years now and must say, I am not exactly crazy bout the stuff he is spinning or producing right now. Anyone remember probably one of his most memorable sets ever, for me anyway, from 2001, his XXL clubnight set. The tracklisting for the first hour could have been played by Deep Dish or some other House god, and then he dabbles a bit into awesome breaks before getting into some of the best trance from that year. I will always support PVD but man, 2001 was a great fricking year for him compared to now. Which other trance djs spun sets from groovy house to melodic breaks to pumpin trance, the diversity of his older sets is definitly lacking from his more recent ones, outside of his Radio Fritz shows:

| yea, while i agree the level of production is prob higher now than ever, it just seems after mid 2003, everything in the trance scene went downhile more or less. just my opinion, not a fact or anything, so dont flame me unless u really wanna be a pain in the butt. |

if i was in mood to flame with tiesto-lovers i would tell you "dont try to find the feeling that old sets had, trance is dead, tiesto killed it!" :whip:
but i'm not in the mood, so dont count the previous line :haha: |
