Remy is one of the MOST respected DJs by his peers....
AND he's been around for a LONG time
There are not many better or more respected than him.

The damn music stopped after the third song (during Jewel - Intuition) due to the fire department complaining (or something along those lines). The crowd started chanting "AS THE RUSH COMES" and Armin dropped his remix of it. It was nuts. i remember that perfectly they were chanting it for like 5 min straight, plus he droped push- strange world and some people from the crowd gave him vinyl to sign and instead he put it on

I remember the July 2003 performance at Roxy - had brought Cass & Slide - Perception - http://www.discogs.com/release/20064 with me - in hopes i could get him to play the vocal remix off of it - well wasn't a problem - he didn't need my copy to spin it - when he started to spin it - the first 5 minutes of just music in the track, he just winked at me and then the vocals finally dropped - after his set - I asked him about it - and Armin said - that track never leaves my record bag
I might come to this one, been awhile since I seen either Armin or Remy - would like to see Remy rip it with the hard stuff that I know he can do - and in response to DJ Eco's concerns - don't worry about it too much - you see - Made Events doesn't do that too much - there are event companies in NY that do put on locals as openers a lot more often - check out East Side Productions events - http://www.eastsideproductions.net/

no offense, but you're clueless. They're not just flying him over as an opener, he's part of the attraction. I'm going solely to hear Remy...Armin is just an added bonus. Remy is one of the best producers in the world. IMO the best. He can spin his ass off too. |
