Amazing track. Crying In The Rain, and Got To Get It were pretty big as well. And if you wanna go back to this style of early euro, you can't forget La Bouche and Real McCoy (my personal favourite :p )
| quote: | | besides the beat, what's the difference between freestyle & some of the trance that's out there? |
Not sure what you're asking. Both genres are fairly melodic driven, as opposed to verbal, and trance much more so, so they're QUITE different, simply because the beat is diff. |

No Mercy is amazing. Happy memories of gr.9 days. F*** Stevie B, and pretty much 99% of all freestyle.
Ahh, I miss the euro days. Which place has the way-back-wednesdays? I was listening to it a couple of weeks ago but can't remember for the life of me. |
103 does it live to air at Menage, don't ask why I know  |

Alright guys, time for the almighty confession:
Before I saw the light (house) my buddy and I were really big into euro and freestyle, we knew practically every song that was played in the late 90s till 02. I'd say the shiznit back then were Rockell, Lil Suzy, Diana Fox, Milk Inc., the list goes on and on. We use to rock Palazzo on Saturdays and even ventured to Berlin, Plastique as well. All I can say is I'm glad I at least started listening to dance music in my early days rather than the hop that's on now and back then. |

The gino beat that made me more curious about trance:
"Fly-ing to the moon...getting higher....I can see the stars now!"
The electronic sounds in that song were SOOOOO trancey!!!!! :)
And a song I heard recently on Way-back Wendesdays:
"MEMORIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES OF ME AND YOU GO ON AND ON...."
"LAAAAA DEE DAA DEE DAA DEE DUM...." LOL!!!! |

I loved alot of the EURO too - minus the guy rapping/girl singing dynamic - it was quite trancey/spacey - although - 130-140 bpm
TOKYO GHETTO - EVERYBODY ON THE FLOOR!!!! trancey spacer remix!!!! LUVED IT!!!
Plus JAM and SPOON - RIGHT IN THE NIGHT/ANGEL - la da di oh way oh....
Black Rose - Melody......ah shucks!
:haha: :haha: :haha: |
