This has to be Illegal

Right?

It has a pretty steep Price point too

Nope, after some period of time emulation of older systems becomes legal. Companies only hold patents/copyrights for a certain amount of time.

Chipping an Xbox though voids the warranty and I think they will ban you from LIVE! if you're caught with a chipped box.

afaik owning the game ROMS for old games is illegal unless you actually own the original game in some format so if this is the case owning an chipped xbox with 6000 emulated game is probably highly dodgy. saying that a lot of people chip there xboxes and no one really cares and loads of people run emulators and download ROMS but actually buying such a box with so many games over the internet using bank details etc.. well lets say i personally wouldnt.

Im not 100% but i think its leagle

Unless you get the Xbox Roms included with this system, the purchase will be illegal from that standpoint. I doubt you can legally obtain the arcade roms either.

heyzeus 1500 bucks!! damn gotta be illegal

Total and absolute rip off, but it's not illegal. Well, depending on the games actually. As stated, patents are only held legally for a certain period of time. However, intellectual property, such as games, is a different issue. I seem to recall that things don't fall into the public domain for something like 25 to 50 years.
And again, it's a rip off. They're charging way too much for it. You can get the chip, get someone to install it, if you don't know how, then just dl the appropriate emulators and upload to the Xbox yourself.

I can't wait until some emulators pop up that can be used on the PSP. It will be great to play all of the NES classics on my PSP anywhere I go.

Theres probarbly something Illegal about it, but i wouldnt pay 1500 for all of them can be downloaded and so can the emulators

I had a SNES emu for PS2 not long ago, fit about 500 games per cd! great fun. It even saved to your memory card

Guys?? WTF of COURSE its illegal! I can't even believe there is a question about that. If you read, the system comes with "most new Xbox games." That alone would be illegal. This company is nothing more than a bunch of greedy fags that just chip an Xbox, throw in a big hard drive, and load up a bunch of emulators with roms. Speaking of roms, you cannot legally use a rom unless you own the original. Anyone familiar with MAME knows this fact very well.

These pricks are only able to operate because they are located in some other country. Whats sad is they are preying on people that just don't know any better. You can create the EXACT same thing yourself for 300 bucks. Buy a used Xbox, throw in an Xecuter 3, a big hard drive, and all those emulators and roms and any Xbox game you want can be downloaded for free. Its like those s that make MAME cabinets and sell them for $3000 grand when you can do the same thing yourself for an 1/8th the cost.
Blue.
I'd much rather just mod my XBOX for 50 bucks and then put all the emulators and roms on myself.
