I was told the same and thus (obviously) didn't make it out.
Damnit! I just let myself down - big time. |
let down HUUUUUUUUUUGE RJ :(:(
Creamer even dropped that track "the funk, makes it funky" and I said to Margs "RJ would love this!"
:whip: :whip: :whip: :whip:
That's why I don't listen to what other people tell me.. You never know what to expect. I only go by my personal previous experiences.... and sometimes gut feeling :D |

this was in the lounge right? I had heard that Holder was on the whole night - but if it was Bernard from about 2am onwards then yes he definitely dropped some sick diiirty beats.
:D |
Yeah, he played the lounge roughly 1am-4am (whenever it closed) |

Sounded like a re-edit of the Buick Project mix of Sander's 'The Fruit'. |

K, yea he was dropping some majorly hot tracks.. went down to smoke a doob with oldschool420 and I seriously couldn't leave for like an hour.. eventually the smoke forced me out but it was unwilling! (naesean3 can attest to this)

I saw him at the KH and he was no good at all. This review really angers me. :whip: |

hahahha, ok ok, I'll make it short
Wasn't planning on going, didn't think anyone else I was with was really that interested, heard Creamer was a snoozer. So we went out somewhere else, drank too much, left and came back home. It's now going on 3, we decide, ok, lets go to BOA. Jerome was still on (though briefly) when we got there, I think by the time I got settled in, he was done. Creamer came on, and it was no snooze fest!! Seriously dirty tunes one after the other. I will admit I was kind of walking around for a bit, looking for people, getting something to drink, but boring? A surprise just like Clive Henry was, if that's boring, sign me up!! MV came on and just continued the pace, actually took it up a notch. Awesome awesome stuff from him, his Mr. Roboto remix sounded fantastic on that BOA soundsystem too, much better then Helsinki in Ottawa (to be expected).
All in all, a really REALLY great night, even had a BOA virgin with us that night. :)
It must have been ok, I was still there at like 8 something?!? I don't do that, I can't, I leave earlier, always. :) |

JoinT speaks the truth.....the music was getting freakin good - when we hit that burn.....JennyPie was all over the place - I was dancing in my space - JoinT was hyped - sorry bout the smoke bro - it was intense for the Non-smokers - he went upstairs I followed about 10 mins later...and the upstairs was JUMPIN' very good energy and what Kevin said is true that MV took it higher. I sprained my foot the Monday morning previous and I planned on taking it easy - but the beat just wouldn't let go - so therefore I had to let go - my foot did kill the next day though after the Vodka Red Bulls/Stone Haze wore off.
to those who listen to dissers.....DONT! ANY DJ CAN SUCK ON ANY GIVEN NIGHT - There is no-moneyback guarantee.....though that would be nice!! LOL!
I never really listen to peoples opinions when it comes to DJ's. 18 years of enjoying this "dance music" - I like all kinds of EDM and I find something to like in almost everything......when things are better then I expect - that's a bonus - and that night was better than I expected - went solo and met a bunch of new people/old friends - that helps for sure to make the night that much better!
There are many variables at work on a night out - if you let the music be the only thing to make you happy/end all be all - well you might as well stay home and listen to your own beats......me I enjoy the challenge of a night out and all that it can bring - and when I hear tracks that I don't know - and are sick/wickid!!! Then it makes it all that more worthwhile....as mentioned earlier in the thread - some EXCELLENT tunes were played that night - (and I was going to stay home) - I am so glad I DID NOT!!!!
My only gripe - is how hot it gets in there lately, never noticed it before......that can seriously affect the fun factor....because when it is sooo hot - there is no way to get cooled down.....I can stand being cold - but boy do I get bitchy if it is too hot....LOL!!!
The right mix of tunes, friends/new friends, vibe and DJ's made for one of the best nights I have had at BOA since it opened.
Looking forward to many more - bring it on!!:tongue2 |

| oh yeah - to comment on Floorfiller......train wrecks did abound from Holder - I was suprised :eyespop: in the late 90's early 2000's - he was spinning some sick stuff - along side Pete and Ty and the bois......again an example of where someone can have an off night - if you came for HOLDER you were likely disappointed - but I will not JUDGE that night to be indicative of what he normally is capable of...I have heard way too many sweet sets from this man....to reduce his rep to .....:toothless |
