The thing I love best about Family Guy coming back on is before it got canned, some people were offended by the humour or thought it was too risque. But now that they have been embraced more and DVD sales spawned an uncancellation, it seems the jokes (going by the 1 episode shown right now) have gotten WAYYYYYY worse and more rique. And by that I mean they're FRIGGING HILARIOUS!!!
American Dad didn't do it for me... |

:wtf: Risqué? Um, yeah go tell them to watch some South Park then. |

| I dont know how many people actually saw the eposide that got family guy canceled, but this premier appeared to be somewhat of an appology for that episode...or maybe not, but its just interesting how the season got started. As for the show itself it was alrite, but I thought American Dad was funnier :) |

| Absolutely fantastic to have the heir apparent to The Simpsons back on tv.... & for it to strut through the network lambasting door that the Simpsons opened up in the first place by lampooning Fox w/ that opening tirade was soooooo perfect .... all in all easily one of the top 5 epsiodes & pulling out all the tricks of it's arsenal.... key fav's incl. Stewie's long slow off-angled head turn at Brian's Freudian Upsidedownface slip & Peter's Jughead fixation during the potential-to impending-to completed car wreck scene, as they were bits of sheer brilliance in comedic timing & delivery ... hat's off to Seth MacFarlane for having the balls to come back right where he left off w/ the show b/c he knew he'd got Fox b/c the short hairs thanks to the DVD sales... Can't wait for next week!!!! |

^^^ I agree.
I was wondering if I was the only one who thought that this episode was kind of weak? After seeing South Park's completely over the top "The Passion of the Jew" episode...this Mel Gibson storyline was pretty tame.
I'm sure I've seen every Family Guy episode at least 5 times, lol...this one was funny...but after all this time off, I was expecting more.
I'm definitely glad it's back though...always clever, well written and generally offensive on various levels. :D |

I'm not the HUGEST fan of Family Guy. I like it...but I'm not overly obsessed with it. I watched it tonight though and was pleasantly surprised. I shall be tuning in next week. American Dad, I first saw after the Super Bowl, and may I tell you...my friend's and I could NOT stop laughing. Though it was almost a replica of Family Guy, it was still HILARIOUS! I think it's a great show!
Good night |
