Would It be a good time now to buy a 1000 mk2 or should I wait?
The 200 just came out, are they going to "upgrade" the others anytime soon?? |

i was wondering the exact same thing after watching the 200 demo! if they upgraded the 800 to have just those 3 effects (zip, wash, and jet, or whatever) i would be sold right there. the only thing i really want on top of the new features of the 200 is vinyl mode!
so if the 800 came out with those effects and features it would be PERFECT! i'm holding off until i see what happens in a few months to the other models, namely the 800 and 1000:cool: |

I don't think they're gonna upgrade the 1000s anytime soon...
Just look how long it too Pioneer to come out with an upgrade for the efx500 and the pioneer djm600.
The CDJ1000 is still the best CD player out there. So there really isn't a reason to upgrade it yet. |

| the 1000 is also the best for pitch increment's, making those precise beatmatches, i run into problems with my cdj100s because of the +.1 pitch increments |

true true about the 1000's... but the 800's could stand for the upgrade. the pitch shift on the 800's is 0.05, i believe thats what the 1000's are too, right? anything below the 800's is 0.1
i am stuck trying to decide between the new 200's or 800's now, i currently have the old 700S's:conf:
i'm going to play around with it at the music store, its gunna come down to choosing between vinyl mode or the new effects and features. |

They arent going to upgrade the 1000s anytime soon, and they certainly are never going to upgrade the 800s.
The cdj200 has no vinyl mode, but it has 0.02.
The cdj800 has vinyl mode, but it has 0.05.
If they gave the cdj800 0.02 it would have to cost almost as much as a 1000. |

Yes, Pioneer is working on an upgrade to cdj1000 to create all in one player that will play cd's , dvd's and blu ray discs. Should come out early next year. You should buy whatever you set your eyes on now and you can sell it later on |

Pioneer introduced efx1000 effector and djm1000 mixer recently both of which are very high end audio, namely 24bits/96khz. It's logical they follow that up with a cdj . I also think they will incorporate a player to play dvd's and cd's on one disc. |

How is that any different from the DVX? They are pushing the DVX hard in the latest pioneer pro dj japanese catalog. |

| I only see the damn best DJs spinnin on the DVJs. Its already hard enough to focus on just the music, let along the video. |
