Hey yalllllll I need help please!

I am trying to put tracks in a mixed cd and I can't figure it out. I know it has to have something to do with regions or markers and , but i just can't get it.

If there are any kats out here that know how to do this and can give me a brief lesson, I would greatly appreciate it.

Work it out!!!

Haha I'll help you.

Set your markers. Just press M. These seperate the tracks.

Select everything. Go to Special-->Regions List--> Markers to Regions

Then go to Tools-->Scripting-->Save Regions as Files

That should work.

...or you could double-click between markers to select a song, drag and drop it into a new window, then burn.

THAT'S ACTUALLY THE CORRECT WAY TO DO IT IF YOU WANT TO GO BY THE BOOK.... AND I NEVER KNEW THAT WAY.. GOOD TO GO TVG.....

BUT ME, I WAS IN YOUR SHOE OH, SO LONG TIME AGO AND HAD NO IDEA. IT FINALLY HIT ME THAT I COULD HAVE DONE WHAT I AM DOING NOW- 2 YEARS AGO JUST LAST MONTH.

Basically,

1- just highlight the track from that long mix, copy it and paste it as a new track in a new window.

2- save that newly pasted track as a file and name it whatever you think will help you remember the sequence- such as mix1.

3- do step 1 and 2 for the remaining tracks and name in sequence such as mix2, mix3, and so forth.

4- After you have completed saving each song as a seperate file, you are ready to burn.

5- Using a cd burning software that has gap setting options- easy cd creator 6 and up, choose alter the gap settings and ensuring that the gap spaces or at 0.

6- place all the tracks in the ready to burn window in sequence and choose the 'disc at once' option and burn.

7- when you play the cd in a cd player, the tracks will switch without any pauses, gaps, or silence.

8- It seems so easy now that I you see how its done. But most people can't even begin to imagine to take those steps and little do they know that its right under their fingers.......

hope it helps.

Here is an alternative. I love Soundforge and use it for any audio editing, however for what you want to do, I have used a little program called Goldwave, and an older version at that, version 4.19. I've been using the little bastard for 5 years now to break up mixes and I wouldn't use anything else for this purpose.

still the best way: use cdr cuesheet editor!!! keep your single mixed-file, create a fitting cuesheet for that one and burn with cdrwin, nero, etc (whatever supports *.cue-files)!
